JTH Special Issue 'Planning, Transport and Healthy Ageing in Asia' Fully Published

Our special issue is now online! It’s been a true privilege collaborating with authors from 10+ cities to explore transport & healthy ageing in Asia. We hope these findings advance research & practice in this vital field.

This special issue brings together research that explores the intersection of transport, urban planning and design, and ageing populations in Asia, offering evidence-based solutions for healthy ageing in diverse urban contexts. This special issue includes papers focusing on small to medium and large-sized cities, such as Hohhot, Dalian, and Guangzhou, as well as major cities and regions like Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taiwan, Seoul, and Singapore. Some studies also take a broader approach, addressing national-level issues in Japan and China. These studies provide valuable case studies for planning and healthy ageing issues, serving as exemplars for other cities.
